In addition to the implementation of a fly-by-ware system, the Imasat project makes it possible to move towards a more electric aircraft type for various purposes, increasing flight and operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
The first, according to Aertec, is to contribute to the lower cost of computing nodes compared to existing nodes. Second, it provides flight stability derived from the application of electronically calculated control laws as part of the fly-by-wire system. Third, save fuel by reducing the weight, size and power of the systems (electrical and hydraulic) and actuators (EHA, EMA and SHA) required to actuate the flight controls.
